Farming in the Shropshire Hills – meet the farmer!

Join Duncan Bennett and Cath Landles for a farm walk to find out about farming in the Shropshire Hills and the work of the Upper Onny Farmers Group.

Duncan is a beef and sheep farmer near the Stiperstones and a member of the Upper Onny Farmers Group. Duncan will share his story about his farm, the challenges of modern day farming in the Shropshire Hills, and the changes he’s made to benefit the landscape, environment, his farm business and himself.

Cath is our Community & Landscape Officer and works with the Upper Onny Farmers Group. Cath will set the scene and explain the background to the group and the good work members are achieving.

This free event is aimed at non farmers. We will be walking over farmland and rough tracks, so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Please note dogs are not permitted as we will be around farm animals.
