The Conservation Fund is a small grant pot to support practical projects that help to conserve, enhance and raise awareness of the Shropshire Hills National Landscape.
Priority areas for projects are:
- Conserving and enhancing the natural beauty, landscape, wildlife or heritage of the Shropshire Hills.
- Educational and awareness-raising activities relating to the area and its conservation, especially involving young people.
From September 2024 we have 2 rounds of funding available:
- We can support activity over this winter. Projects must be completed by March/April 2025.
- We can support year-long projects to start in April 2025 and complete by end of March 2026.
Public, private, voluntary sector and community groups can apply, along with individuals and businesses, but in all cases the project must show a clear public benefit. You don’t have to live or work within the Shropshire Hills National Landscape to apply, as long as your project delivers benefits to it. Priority is given to first-time applicants.
