Can you help us plant hedges in the Shropshire Hills this Winter?
At the heart of our Hedgerow Heroes project volunteers will again be busy planting native hedgerows on a variety of sites in the Shropshire Hills this winter, from smallholdings to working farms and community owned fields.
Hedges are fantasic for nature providing food and shelter for birds, mammals and insects. Planting starts at 10am and we are usually done by 2pm. There are weekdays and weekends to choose from.
Bring a friend or family member and if you cannot spare a whole morning, come along when you can! Tools are provided as is guidance/help if you have not planted trees before. Planting is a great experience, working outside in interesting locations with like-minded people doing something really practical for nature in lovely Shropshire countryside.
Hot drinks/refreshments provided at most sites.
A complete list of hedge planting dates is now up on the CPRE Shropshire website. Please book in first since we need an idea of numbers for tool availability.
