We want your views as we review the Management Plan
The Shropshire Hills National Landscape is legally designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the statutory Management Plan is reviewed every five years.
We would like to hear your views on
- what do you value about the area?
- what are your concerns?
- what do you think should be the priorities for the future?
You might appreciate the views, peace and quiet, wildlife, opportunities to walk or cycle, or the heritage and culture. You might have views on protecting the quality of the landscape, helping nature to recover, how we respond to climate change, future directions for farming, or how tourism and visitors should be managed.
The Shropshire Hills National Landscape Partnership will prepare the new Management Plan, setting out priorities and actions to conserve and enhance natural beauty from 2025 - 2030. The Partnership and staff team have a key role to support and co-ordinate action, but this is a plan for the area and for all partners to help deliver, it isn’t a plan for any one organisation.
The plan sits within a framework of law and other policy, and implementing any actions proposed depends on the availability of funding from a wide variety of sources. We will take into account all views gathered in producing the new Plan.
